A Small Gesture That Makes a Difference: Supporting Communities in Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, India, we have once again been able to provide support to vulnerable communities. This time, we have helped聽around 100 people, including children and older women, with some everyday items and food that can make a real difference in their daily lives.
Lunchboxes for children
We distributed聽lunchboxes to orphaned children聽living in聽foster families or an orphanage, so that they have a suitable container to take their lunch to school.
It may seem like something simple, but having their own lunchbox means that these children now have a proper way to carry their food to school each day. Small things like this can help them attend school with greater dignity and a little more peace of mind.

Buckets and food for elderly women
We also distributed聽buckets to older women, which they can use to carry and store different things, such as food, clothes or other items they need in their daily lives.
In addition, we distributed聽rice and pulses, staple foods that can help supplement the diet of these women and their families.
These may be very basic necessities, but that is precisely why we believe this kind of support is important: because it responds to real situations and to things people need in their everyday lives.

And now we want to help them get ready for school
Our support does not end here.
With the new academic year approaching, we want to continue supporting the children so that they can have聽books, notebooks, school supplies and everything they need to start the new school year.
For many children, having these materials is something we take for granted. However, for those living in more vulnerable situations, the cost of everything they need for school can be a significant challenge.
That is why we want to continue helping them.
