Volunteering in Barcelona
At Conexión CP, we are looking for in-person volunteers for our English, Catalan and Spanish classes, which we teach at our centre in Barcelona. We need empathetic people who are eager to share their language, culture and, above all, their time with refugees and migrants.
Teaching qualifications or previous experience are not essential, although they are always a plus. What we value most is your commitment and willingness to support those in need. If you would like to contribute, volunteering to teach is a way to help our students integrate into society.
What does volunteering involve?
The minimum volunteering period is three months, with two hours of classes per week (divided into two one-hour sessions). As a volunteer teacher, you will have to monitor the classes, keep us up to date on students’ progress and, in some cases, correct homework.
Before you start, please note that…
- It is essential to comply with the schedule and period agreed between the parties.
- It is also important to comply with our code of conduct and basic common sense rules.
- When you finish your volunteering, we will give you a certificate with the hours and dates you have been with us.
